All Current Protocal information.

The update from Feb 22, 2022 is as follows:

Effective Monday Feb 14, proof of vaccination or a negative test will be no longer required at Regina Public or Regina Catholic school facilities in response to the Feb 8 announcement by the Government of Saskatchewan The School boards have indicated that masks are still required in all indoor spaces regardless of vaccination or testing status, including during active participation in physical exercise or sports until Feb 28. Effective Mar 1 masks will be recommended but not required. Both the school boards are also currently discussing options to reinstate large scale events such as tournaments and are awaiting advice from the Provincial Government and the Saskatchewan Health Authority. When we have more information on this we will share it with you.

On Tuesday Feb 8, the Government of Saskatchewan announced that it will end all provincial public health orders requiring proof of vaccination or negative test results for Saskatchewan businesses, workplaces, and other public venues as of Monday, February 14. The Province also indicated that masking requirements for indoor public spaces as well as mandatory isolation for those who test positive for COVID-19 will be lifted on February 28.
In light of this announcement, the University is making some changes to current protocols on campus as follows.

Masking
With respect to masking, there is currently no change in policy. The University is retaining its indoor masking requirements until further notice. These requirements will be evaluated – and adjusted if and where necessary – as the term continues.

Proof of Vaccination and Testing
On February 14, the University will lift its requirement that periodic visitors to campus from the wider community provide proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test results when attending an on-campus event or activity. We will, however, encourage those visitors to self-conduct rapid antigen tests prior to coming to campus.
Throughout the course of the pandemic, members of our University community have worked together to ensure our individual health and wellbeing, as well as the health and wellbeing of those around us. I am confident we can return to in-person classes, events, and activities by continuing to work safely together.
